Awesome!

Because I am....

You can't really tell, but it's an apron made from the boys old jeans for their Titi, with an aqua, and pink dragonfly sparkly on it.   And one of the slipper socks for #1 son.

 My pride and joy.

Hat and scarf from the *yummiest* yarn for mom.
 Skipper for my penguin boy................................................>
A pink Domo-Kun for the pink boy. (: Yes, that's knitted!
Although you can't see it, the ends of the scarf have the same edging as the brim of the hat.

So, how were *your* Holidaze?

As Usual,

More reasons to shake my head

I am *so* going to get out of retail, if it means throwing myself in front of a bus.  I have 2 sites that I used to love to read, written by retail workers, for retail workers, about all the craziness that happens in the retail world.  I used to laugh, I used to sit with my jaw on the floor in amazement.  Now I want to cry.  It just never occurred to me I guess, just how far down the evolutionary scale we've slid.  Most of my stories make you want to shake you're head, but I do have some few that just make you wonder where the world will be in the not so distant future.

4 *very* quick stories...
I've explained the u-scan before.  The items have a weight that is entered into the computer with their bar code and price.  The scanner is a scale, the bag area is a scale, and all the #'s better match, or you have to wait for the attendant to see why they don't.
A woman comes up with an armful of things, she starts scanning, and then her small child starts leaning on the bag scale. When she *finally* looks up to me, I explain the whole scale thing, and she says, "Oh, that's a scale?! So sorry!" and pulls her kid off the scale,  (no I'm not kidding here) when she stood back up from that, she frikken put her purse on it!  And had the nerve to *ask me why it wouldn't work!*

A guy places his few items through the process, then puts his bag on the floor.  The weight needs to stay the same on the scale, I told him so, and he said... "I guess the camera didn't catch the fact that I put the stuff in a bag."  "Scale", "camera" ... um?

Then the people that just plain make no sense at all.

Like my little old Russian guy.  Speaks about 5 words of English.  He comes in and spends a fortune on scratch offs, and he's *SO SLOW*!  it takes him, literally, 20 minutes to put his money in the machine, choose his 5 or so tickets, and scratch them off.  But he has no idea if he wins. He doesn't read enough English to know if he did. So he brings his entire pile for us to scan into the lottery machine, because he doesn't believe us if we just throw the ticket away.  What is the point of scratching them off?  If you don't know if it's a winner or not, just buy the ticket and have us scan it for you. (not that I enjoy that either!)

The store I worked for does a gas promotion.  Every $1 you spend on grocery items is a point, every 100 points is .10 off each gallon of gas, and each promotion lasts 8 weeks...  6 weeks to earn points, 2 weeks to use them up, and then it all zeros out and starts over. To make it easier, it's just like every other sale, it always starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday, and your points, and the dates of the promotion are on all your receipts, plus the dates of the promotion are on every door, register, circular, and gas pump.
If I had a nickle for every time I heard, "What a rip-off!"  "How was I supposed to know when it ended" and "Why does it have to be so difficult to understand?!"  I'd be a really, really, wealthy woman.

I think I'm burnt out.  I never wanna be on the other side of another register for the rest of my life.

As usual...

Finis!

Wooooohooooooo! All main gifts are finished!  Almost all cards are delivered.  Now just for fun, (and making myself nuts) I'm going to attempt secondary gifts.

And it seems the Department of Labor has caught up with me, and I am to bring myself, and a copy of my resume to a meeting.  With one small problem.  I've had 3 jobs in the past 17 years. *sigh*.  I don't *have* a resume!  No one wants to see that.  I always dread the "last 3-5 jobs you've had" portion, and in interviews, the "Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years" part.  I don't plan that far ahead. I'm not that kind of person.  I've never had much in the way of ambition, I just want to live my life.  I just do my job.  If things progress from there, YAY!  If not, fine too.

So, with 15 days left to craft, here's hoping I can finish what I want to, and look forward to pics of the finished projects!
Silly kitty time!

 As usual folks,

Pain

I don't like to complain much in public, it isn't really my way. Usually I can just suck it up, and deal, and show the world, if not "shining smile" then at least not "tear soaked mess".

I was never really a fan of the mainstream holidays after Halloween.  At least, not once I got old enough to get over the whole "OOHH!! Shiny presents!" portion of my childhood.  I feel we expect too much of ourselves, and those we invite into our lives around this time.
This has been a particularly bad season for me.  In the course of this month, I was unjustly fired, accused of theft, did not receive all the pay due to me from that unjust firing, my unemployment benefits seem to be in limbo with no human to speak to about it, my car is in the shop looking at, on the cheap side, 5-7 hundred dollars worth of work, I have little money in the bank, and now, to top it off, my sister has told me "You're a BITCH!  I hate you right now" all because she said "I have lost everything I cherish in the last 3 weeks" and I was hurt by it.  Yes, I know it sucks to break up with a guy.  I know it sucks to be broke.  But as long as I have my family- my kids, my parents, my sister, and, distantly, my friends, a roof over my head, a bed to sleep in, and all that implies, I have not lost *anything* I cherish.  And to imply that because she and her boyfriend broke up is so much worse than what anyone else has to deal with, implying that this part of her family is not cherished, is hurtful to me, insulting to us, and quite frankly childish.  And for telling her that I was offended that the people she knew less than 5 years were more cherished than the people that have been here for her her whole life, she called me a bitch, told me she hated me, and when I blasted her for that, (and admittedly, told her the truth which normally I would have kept to myself to spare her feelings) she unfriended me from fb, and I haven't heard from her since.
http://youtu.be/BpIUr7WjjRs
So great, I shouldn't have lost my temper, I know that.  Maybe I'm here seeking validation that what I'm dealing with now constitutes enough stress that I was temporarily insane.  I must've been because in 35 years, I have never told her the truth about how I feel.  That she is a one upper, that if I hurt, she glosses over it and tells me how *awful* everything has been for her.  That she's acting like a child,  that (and this is the unadorned truth) if I put her fb statuses next to the ones from a 15 year old I know, I can't tell whose are whose.

I think the term "temporary insanity" was coined for just this situation.  Or maybe, just maybe, I was finally sticking up for myself in our relationship.

Okay, I promise. Done with the drama now.

Thanks for Noticing me.

Still at it.

How was everyones Thanksgiving?  We had a quiet day here.  Just the same 4 diners as every other day, and my sis stopped by after for dessert. (:   I must say, if you're going to step away from the norm, and try new things, then doing it while you have no company is definitely the time to do it!   We had the nastiest sauce for the broccoli, and the sauce for the potatoes disappeared into them leaving no trace of flavor behind.  Next year it's back to plain veggies and mashed with gravy!
Also, if  you like broccoli, try this if you can find it...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romanesco_broccoli
It's a Christmas tree! LOL!  And it *does* taste exactly like broccoli, I wouldn't lie!  Now it's the boys second favorite veggie!

I have so many ideas to make, and no time to make them!  Now is the time of year I make those orange air fresheners, you know the ones, with an orange, cloves, and ribbons and bows? (:  We had one hanging in our coat closet for *years*, before it finally lost its scent.
All holiday gifts have been started, and all but 2 are "done", in total 4 still need to be "finished".  Done meaning made, finished meaning all the finishing touches are added.
Ddasha has been behaving extremely odd lately, I mean, even more odd than is her normal odd... (:

The little fruitcake.

Well, that's it for now... 27 crafting days till the big one!  And as usual,

Guess what I found?

I just found a bunch of the scraps of paper I wrote out about life in the world of retail.  (:  I'm in the process of sorting them, categories being,

 A) Stupid actions,

B) Stupid comments

C) What not to wear

Case in point...

A) Kid came in for cigarettes, fairly regular, but I couldn't remember if he normally bought them so I ID'd him.  "Oh, uh, it's in my glove box..."  Got in the car and closed the door, so I knew he was gonna take off... He punched the gas, and scraped the entire side of his truck along the bumpers for the pumps. (:

B)  Woman came in looking for a certain cigar.  I was confused because of the way she asked, but eventually I got the product, *showed it to her*, and she agreed that was what she wanted.  Paid, left, came back 10 minutes later and said it wasn't the right one.  We cannot take any tobacco, or alcohol product back once it has left the store. No exceptions.  "Well, I'm just saying, if a person can't take it back, you should be sure it's the right product!"  Lady, I showed it to *YOU* the person that *should have* known what it was they were buying before they left the store!

C)  Watched a man leaving the store, in October mind you, wearing, very dingy white socks in black sandals, I never got to his shirt though, because I was too lost staring at his leopard print cargo pants.  WTF?!?!?!  I think my brain was just having too much difficulty processing 'leopard print' 'mens' and 'cargo' all in one grouping.

Stay tuned! And as usual,

Thanks for Noticing me!

Wow, just, wow.

Long story short, I am now unemployed.... Surprisingly, after the initial shock, and anger, I'm good with this!

I hated being at the mercy of whoever wanted me to work wherever! Whereas I have a tendency to find a job and drop roots, when I'm cut down, I'll happily look for a new situation.  I'm thinking HHA, or even civil service.  I have to admit, I'm a lot faster on a keyboard than I was 20 years ago when I took my last civil service test. :)

And I do so love being home!  Everyone asks, "Aren't you bored?"  No!  Never!  There is always something to do.  Since I've been unemployed I got to clean a room (that always ends up last on the cleaning list) from top to bottom *just* the way I like it done.  I've completed what would have normally taken me over a week, while working, of  crocheting on holiday gifts. I've gotten to make dinners, bake, clean, craft.... I'm just THRILLED!

Tune in for more cutie kitties, and rants from an unemployed lunatic!

Busy, busy!

I was doing *so* well, really! I thought I was ahead of the game.  Then came the roses....  Well those are gonna eat up some serious time!

Check out the date on these pics of snow...

Really?!?!  I don't know if we're in for a hard winter, or just a long one!

*Some* of what I've finished so far.

D'awwww!

Just to make up for being a slacker. (:

Have fun! And as usual,

Toast.

Yup, that's what I am.  I'm toast!  Nearly burnt.  2&2/3 gifts finished, 6&1/3 to go.  I finished the one tonight, and decided that instead of picking up that 1/3, I'd fart around on here. (:  Remember those shawls from a few posts back? Mom and daughter goodies...

I suppose I should post some more pics of our awesome trip, like I promised...

We're pretty sure that's #1's arm going by...
This is the car we rented... HOT!

Cute!  By the ticket windows so you know which  tickets to buy.

The goofballs, showing off their ill- gotten gains...

Well, I suppose I should try to go to sleep at some point this morning...

(In)tolerance

I have been livid all day!  I did something I rarely do, I read the paper this morning.   Apparently, 2 of the elementary schools in our district will not be doing the Halloween costume parade, and school party, because the celebration "Violates some families beliefs".  Our Superintendent thinks that there should be "a district wide talk about the issue" of having Halloween parties and parades in the school.

Historically, All Hallows Eve was the day the veil between the living world, and the spirit world was the thinnest.  People disguised themselves so evil spirits could not take them, and carved frightening visages in gourds to frighten off the spirits.

Historically, when a person sneezed, the belief was an evil spirit was being expelled, and someone would say "God Bless you" so said spirit couldn't re-enter the body.
I bet those "families" that feel Halloween is not something that should be celebrated in school, the ones that feel violated, I *bet* they still say "Bless you" when someone sneezes.

So much for tolerance.  Isn't that what you hear all the time? We should practice tolerance toward those that want to illegally enter our country, get free medical, housing, and food, or live 12 to an illegal basement apartment so they can send all the money they earn back home and live like kings.   We should be tolerant of radical Muslims that want nothing more than to see our entire Country blown to bits.  Tolerant of awful children because they had a rough upbringing, tolerant of anyone that doesn't have pink skin doing whatever they please because their great- great- grandparents *might* have been slaves, or been some other way oppressed by our great-great- grandparents.

Apparently we are not to educate in schools, we just go with allowing fear, ignorance, and intolerance to reign free.  And as usual in America, the wants of the few, outweigh any input from the many.

Holidaze

With the Holidaze fast approaching, I have been in crafting fever.  It ain't cheap, but it's a lot less expensive, and more heartfelt than buying half a dozen gifts for everyone.  I can't wait to post pics... *after* everyone gets them that is.  For a change, I'm almost ahead of the game.  I wonder what the chances are that I *won't* be up most of Christmas eve, and finishing on Christmas morning.

We went to our favorite farm for their annual month long Halloween party.  It's terribly cute.  This year, I learned that turkeys can chirp, not just gobble. (:

http://youtu.be/AZe0aWPmeF4

Isn't that adorable?!

Why thank you, I feel welcome.

Innee beautiful?

Mutant turkey!!!  Ahhhhhhh!!!!

Hangin' out, waiting for a can of chow.

We love this place, it's a great couple hours of giving the kids a bit of freedom to play without mom breathing down their necks.  Which is something I've been practicing.

Have a great play time, and as usual,

FLOOD!

I haven't been on in a while.  Disheartened by the lack of readers, and kinda mopey after the excitement of the birthdays, in addition to a thread on one of my yarn work sites that got me to pick up some of my old projects.

And the FLOODS.  I'm just shell shocked.  Flooding doesn't normally affect me one way or another, but this time people that live as close as an hour away from me are affected, and it's heartbreaking to hear their stories.

http://www.pressconnects.com/article/20110917/NEWS01/109170366/A-long-road-back-after-flood-s-destruction?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE

That's just a small taste of what the area has been going through...  And those pretty pics of our vacation?

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Knoebels-Amusement-Resort/207828210550?sk=photos

I feel SO bad.  I'd like to say there's a link to flood relief things, but as it's a local thing, there probably wouldn't be.

So, sorry about the gaps... And as usual

*Sigh*

Been an interesting month.

This is a pic of the Twister, our favorite 'coaster from our vacation...

And here's where we spent day 2 at the park. (:

On a more somber note...
Thanks to a new page on fb, I've learned of the deaths of a lot of old friends and classmates, had a lot of happy memories revived, and learned a thing or 2. But it also reminded me of a quest I've been on... Wish me luck in fulfilling said quest!

And as usual....

Again?!?!

I *ALMOST* forgot. (:

I went to go see Meat Loaf!!!! FINALLY!!!

The old man still puts on a great show! I was hoarse for 2 days, and could barely hear, we were 10 rows from the stage! (: I know it sounds silly, but I've wanted to see him live for as long as I can remember. )

So ends the birthday madness that grips our home at the end of every July. ):
New bedroom for the finks, gifts, trips, and music.

And there is so much more.... To come!

Stay groovy, and as usual,

Thanks for Noticing me!

Tuesday, August 2, 2011

*Happy dance*!

So, in 24 hours, I shall be yelling everything to be able to hear it over the ringing in my ears... After 20 (or so) years of waiting, I GET TO SEE MEATLOAF LIVE!!!
Okay, alright, I know his voice isn't what it used to be... But this has been my dream forever! His voice, and Jim Steinmans music, have shaped my musical life. I've had opportunities to see him before, and something has always happened.

This concert will mark the official end of the birthday crazies. For this year anyway.

Pics of the craziness to follow. (:

As usual my pretties...

Slacking off again!

Okay, so not really, but it feels like it. I'm picking up on my yarn work, I got commissioned to make a set of shawls! (: Yay!

And I want to finish a pile of projects.
Add to that that I have a month of pics stored on my camera that I haven't transferred yet...

So just a quickie tonight...
How incongruous is it, to see a small, gold station wagon pull into the gas station, with 4 fully turned out Tibetan Monks inside?! I'm going to hell. I am, I am. Because the first thought that popped into my head was "How many Monks does it take to fill a gas tank?". I am, I am.

A U-scan issue... A woman asks how to do a produce item, not uncommon. BUT.
Me; Does it have a 4 digit number printed anywhere?"
DB, (Dumb broad);, Ummmm, no.
Me; "Okeydokey, so you want to touch the "NO bar code" icon on the screen.
DB; Which one is that?
Me;(*really?*)
The picture of a bar code with a line through it.
DB; Now what?
Me; Well, it's a veggie right? Touch the vegetable icon.
DB; Which one is that?
O.o
Me; The picture of the vegetables?
She finally finds the item, and tries to put it in the bag...
Me; Ma'am? It's asking you to type in the quantity so it can weigh it, and you can put it in the bag...
DB; What's a 'quantity'?
*REPEATED headdesk*

That is one reason why I hatehatehate the u-scan.

So, back to work! And as usual...
Thanks for noticing me!

Is it over yet?

Someone on one of my knitting support sites posted a thread about UFOs. Un-Finished Objects. (: It definitely inspired me to get my butt in gear. I've finished another layette set, and picked up my sons' sweater again. You know, the one that was supposed to be for last Christmas? (:
I came up with a plan, and promptly swerved right off the path. Well, no more.

I think it's over for the next few weeks, then comes birthday craziness for 2 weeks... 3 weeks?
Yeeeeeaaaaaaaaaa! Thanks, I just needed to get that out of my system.

Lots happening at the end of July, and beginning of August.

The promised pics of the first layette set, and the twins blankets.

Thanks for Noticing me!

ps. Sorry for the disjointed post, my computer lost half the post, but that's okay, it was worthless anyway! (:

Better late than never?

Wow this week has been crazy!

So, between school trips, meds for the boys not getting filled/ picked up, and brought to the school, and #1's bizarre test schedule, and #2's stepping up ceremony, and work.... I'm tired. But all that ends today! Well, tomorrow, (for 2 months anyway).

I can't believe next year I'll have 2 High School students. *sigh*

In 31 days, we'll be off on our family trip, YAY! It has been changed and re-arranged so often, I can't believe it's finally settled. (:

Here's the deal...

The boys belong to separate chapters of a program here in town, and a charity group has taken an interest in the program, and every year sends them on some great trip, at least until they age out... Which happened 2 years into #1s group.

This year they want to take #2's group to California... Ummm, 13 years old, on a plane, on the *opposite* coast from here, with out me? No. And ever since I told them he wouldn't be going... I feel like a pariah! Everyone treats me like I'm the bad mom because I won't let him go. Sorry, due to all those reasons above, and a couple other issues I have... N. O.

So originally, to make it up to him, we were going to do the family vaca. at Universal Studios Orlando. Then I ran into a few snags. I've *never* been on a plane. Not sure I want to be on a man- made version of a bumblebee. My mom isn't too cool on the idea of planes either. I hate crowds, and I hate heat, and I hate humidity... Orlando Fl. in August? Sooooo..... (But maybe for winter break next year?)

Now we are hitting our favorite amusement park, getting (got) him a new bed, painting their room in their favorite sports teams colors, and a few other surprises. (:

So, am I bad mommy for not letting them take my 13 year old to the opposite coast, without me?

Thanks for noticing me!

ps... some of Mother Natures' awesomeness for ya! From right out of my window!

Petty revenge

I think I may not be suitable for retail work any longer. Either that or I am seriously burnt out from working the U-scan. Lately I find myself turning all green and scaly and red-eyed at the least provocation.

Case 1. A relatively busy moment in the morning, a guy is scanning his things, and it seems to be going okay, until... He scanned something, but it didn't read, *but* another machine *did* beep. (Cue annoying female voice)
"Please remove the last item from the bag, and scan it, before placing it in the bag"
Whereupon this perfectly normal guy turns into a ravening moron. He repeatedly picks up the item, and *SLAMS* it back in the bag.
*rolling eyes...Pleasant smile*
"Sir, the item you're trying to bag didn't scan yet"
"IT DAMN WELL DID SCAN! I HEARD IT!"
boyyoudidnotjustyellatme!
*pointing* Do you SEE it on the screen?!" And yes, this was said loudly, and with much snark.
Happily he didn't complain, and did apologize to me for yelling in the first place. That. Was a. First.

Cases 2-? Please refrain from throwing things on the counter and ignoring me, because I have reached the point where not only will I ignore whatever it is you tossed on the counter, I will ignore you too.
Today alone, this happened 3 times! A man walked in, I already had a customer, and he tossed a winning scratch off ticket on the counter and walked away toward the lottery machine. Really? by the time I was done with the other person, he had wandered back to me, and *PUSHED IT CLOSER TO ME* still not saying a word, so I walked away. Wonder of wonders... he wasn't American. "You make cash?" No, I wish I did buddy.
Another walked in, tossed a 20 on the counter, and went to go pump his gas. again... Really? He was lucky no one took the money, because I left it there, and 5 minutes later he came in, "I paid for my gas but it isn't pumping.
"I'm sorry, I haven't had anyone *ask me* to authorize a pump in nearly half an hour sir."
"My money is right there"
"Oh! I thought someone just left it there."

Say it with me people... "Really?!" And as usual,

Thanks for Noticing me!

Bibliophile

Yeah, I might have mentioned before that I am a rabid reader. *Someone* thought it would be a good idea to get me an e-reader.

Did you know there are FREE books to read?! Not bad ones either, There are like, a BAZZILION books under 3.00!!!! *Without* having to hunt in yard sales and library sales!

No wonder I never get anything done!

This is the cover I made for it. This is what happens when they want upwards of $60. for a cover and all of the choices are ugly.

Spring!

It's *GREEN* again! And *flowery*!
Okay, more top tomfoolery...

Why are people surprised when I say I can't accept Canadian coins? I won't accept Euros either... helloooo!

At the station, there is a shelf, a scanner/ scale, and a bag scale. If you step up to it, doesn't it make sense to put your items on the shelf so you can scan them over the scanner and then place it in the bag, or at least on the scale? It's all assembly line easy, but alas, no. Why must people try to place their 6" thick items on the 2" frame around the scanner, then give me the stink eye when the machine tells them to remove the item from the scanner? Or expect me to run back and get a new one when it falls off and smashes? The customer is N O T!! always right.

I respect peoples right to be as big as a house, being moderately round myself, I can sympathize. But please... for the love of vitamin A... PLEASE make sure your clothes fit! I do NOT want to see your hairy nasty belly sagging out from under your shirt and over your pants! I don't think it's appropriate at all to be messing around with (ass)crack in public either. Girls... it is NOT sexy to walk around with your button and zipper open because they won't close, and I'm so glad you're happy to be pregnant, mazel-tov! but seriously, I don't want to see your veiny, stretch-marked belly hangin' out, pull your shirt back down!

Any pet- peeves to mention?

Shall we start a "Give the Fashion- Challenged a mirror" charity drive?

As usual folks...

storms

Well, after the recent storms up here, I've had this unreasonable fascination with the sky.

But you must admit it's pretty!

This little guy is not in a pond, it's the driveway to the strip mall where I work. (:
This was actually an exact week after the storms. Still flooded.

And a little tidbit, that actually happened today; A guy walks up and says to the customer I was dealing with.. "Carrie?" And they proceeded to go back and forth about how she knows the family of the person he thought she was, but she's no relation, and blah, blah... But at one point she was having trouble remembering a name, and kept saying, "you know... so and so's marriage partner" That was how she put it, repeatedly, "marriage partner". Ummm, whatever happened to "wife"? I may be hopelessly old fashioned, and no one can call me "P. C." and now I know why.

As usual...

Lousy Pen-Pal

I have a *pile* of pictures on the camera that haven't been uploaded, scraps of paper stuck every where with notes about the people I deal with every day, and at least 3 people sending me e-mail after e-mail asking if I've fallen off the face of the planet.

I'm so engrossed in finishing my projects that everything is getting ignored, and I'm ashamed.

A couple of months ago, I found out a co-worker is pregnant with a girl. A GIRL! FINALLY! I can *make* stuff! Honestly, I thought I'd only do a blanket. But this pattern I found was so fast, and so simple, yet so pretty, I decided to do the whole set... Booties, bonnet, blanket and sweater. No kidding, I finished the blanket in a week, *just* working on it at work. When I showed the blanket to my mom, she said she had a friend at her gym that was having twin boys, and asked if I could make her a pair of them, and all this needs to be finished this week! Thankfully, I'm almost done.

SO ... pics to follow. (:

Gimme Shelter

Todays post is a subject near and dear to my heart... Rescues.

In case you hadn't noticed, I'm a cat people. (:

I'm a firm believer in procuring my pets from shelters, no- kill, or otherwise. I have no patience for irresponsible pet parenting. These beautiful babies right here should convince you. They were actually adopted by the time we took these pics, but the shelter had to use money to rent a space in the mall in order for this to happen. That's money they could have used to take care of more animals.

Have you ever seen markings like this on a cat before?!

These two reminded me of two of my previous, and deeply missed loves.

The first cat we had, well, to be truthful, adopted us. Just followed one of my parents into the apartment one day. The first fuzzy one here^, reminds me of the first cat I can remember, who decided my dads parking spot, occupied or otherwise, was going to be his new home. Yeeeaaahhh, no. In he came, got cleaned up, and became the best lap-cat in the universe.
The shorthair was a kitten that got (literally) tossed onto a neighbors porch, and being as how Fluffycat had recently passed from skin cancer, they gave us the kitten rather than take him to the shelter. Hello Chuckles of the striped mouth, and awesome fetching skills!
And these little twits.

Both my girls were adopted after we moved up here. Mona was actually "Free" which meant she'd been there so long, they didn't even care about the donation, just give her a home! Issue kitty, but even 5 years later, she gets a little better all the time.

Please, get your pets fixed! Adoption is the best way to get a pet. They need someone to love as much as you do! And as usual...

Thanks for Noticing me!
